Audit your image against Amazon's public guidance
Get a plain-language report on the four most-checked rules: pure white background, product fills 85%+ of the frame, minimum 1000px resolution, and image is square or 5:1 ratio. Files are not uploaded.
Rules based on Amazon's public main-image guidance.
What the checker looks at
Pure white background
Samples the 4 corners. If they are not within a tight range of pure white, the background check fails.
Product fill
Estimates the non-background area. The product should fill 85%+ of the frame.
Resolution
Verifies that the longest edge is at least 1000px (recommended: 2000px+ for zoom).
Shape
Main image should be square or 5:1 ratio. A different ratio is a soft warning.
About the audit
Is this an official Amazon tool?
No. The rules are based on Amazon's publicly available main-image guidance. Final acceptance is at Amazon's discretion.
Why are some checks "warnings" instead of pass/fail?
The checker gives a soft warning when a rule has nuance (e.g. resolution ≥1000px is the minimum, but 2000px+ is recommended for zoom). Hard fails are clear rejections.
Why isn't my photo showing a perfectly white background?
Phone photos and small JPEG compression often have a tinted or off-white background. Try the Background to White tool or the Marketplace Image Pack first.
