FAQ

Common questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Every edit happens inside your browser, including the AI background removal. Your photos are read from your device into browser memory and never sent to a server. You can confirm this by opening your browser's Network tab while editing.

How do I turn a landscape photo into a 9:16 vertical for YouTube Shorts?

Open Fit to frame, leave the size on 1080×1920, and apply. The whole photo sits full-width in the middle and the space above and below is filled with a blurred copy of it. Crop 9:16 would cut a wide photo down to a narrow vertical slice instead, and Resize with the ratio unlocked would stretch it.

What is the difference between Fit to frame, Crop and Resize?

Fit to frame keeps the whole photo and builds the space around it to reach an exact size. Crop cuts the photo down to a shape you choose. Resize changes the pixel dimensions, and will stretch the photo if you unlock the ratio.

What is the largest image I can edit?

Up to about 30 MB works comfortably. The real limit is your device's memory, since all processing is local. Very large photos may be slow on an older phone — resizing first usually helps.

Why is background removal slow the first time?

The AI model has to download once, which takes a few seconds depending on your connection. Your browser caches it afterwards, so every image after that is much faster.

Can I move the product and the background separately?

Yes. Once the background is removed, the picture becomes two layers. Pick 'Move product' or 'Move backdrop', then drag on the image to reposition and use the size slider to scale. They move independently.

How do I fix a background removal that cut off part of my product?

Use the Brush. 'Restore' paints the missing part back, and 'Erase' removes background the AI left behind. Adjust the brush size and softness for finer work — a mouse gives more control than a finger.

Does editing remove my photo's location data?

Saving from the studio drops most hidden camera information including GPS. If removing location data is your main goal, use the 'Remove hidden photo info' button to be certain.
