Shrink images, file by file
Compress a batch of images toward a target file size with a live before/after comparison. WebP, JPEG and PNG output. The originals are not touched.
0 keeps original. 1600–2000 looks great on most screens.

About compression
Do you upload my images?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
How does target-size mode work?
The compressor first tries your current settings. If the result is larger than the target, it iteratively lowers the longest edge and quality until the result fits, or until it hits a sensible floor.
Does compressing again lower quality?
Re-encoding a previously-compressed image can introduce further loss. The tool works best on source-quality originals.
Good situations for this tool
- A website builder or CMS is rejecting your photos for size.
- You are emailing a batch of photos and want them to send quickly.
- Page load speed matters and your images are the bottleneck.
- You need to fit within a storage quota without deleting anything.
